About.

Carrie Bradley and Stella Pagani are long time friends and independent business owners. Bonding over being self-employed in a small town brought about the idea of ‘These Hands’. We loved the concept of getting together with like-minded people in a beautiful space and sharing ideas and knowledge in a calm, creative way. ‘These Hands’ creative workshops and retreats offer hands-on knowledge, sharing and skill-building.

Carrie Bradley is a Parisian-trained pastry chef and former owner of Patisserie La Toque, based in Wakefield, QC. She spends her days developing and testing recipes, sewing, and eating! Her love of all things butter runs deep and she wants to share her skill set and inspire creativity through baking.

Stella Pagani is a photo based mixed media artist and a graduate of OCAD University in Toronto, Ontario receiving a BFA double major in Photography and Drawing & Painting in 2010. Stella also received a certificate from George Brown College in the field of Graphic Design in 2007. Since then she has participated in multiple Group and Solo shows throughout her art career. Stella has spent the last 8 years teaching adults and children how to create unique works of art. Before that, she was a private art dealer with one of the world’s largest privately owned art galleries. Throughout her career she has learned one very important thing about collecting and creating artwork: That it’s not about anyone else! Art is personal. Whether making or collecting, the artwork is meant to challenge and make you feel deeply. It doesn’t matter if it makes you happy, sad, frustrated, or confused, as long as you are feeling, it’s a successful artistic endeavour.
